Job Title: Phlebotomist II - Float
Job Location: Miami, FL 33161
Job Duration: 5 months+ (possible extension) 

Shift: Must have flexibility for availability between 6:00 am - 4:00 pm, depending on site to be covered

Roles and responsibilities:
  • Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
  • Have direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
  • Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection. Phlebotomy experience - pediatric and geriatric capillary and venipuncture - required. 
  • Demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
  • Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
  • Maintains required records and documentation.
  • Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general.
Work Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric patients (Required)
  • At least 2 years in a Patient Service Center or similar setting (Preferred)
  • Customer service experience in a healthcare or retail setting (Preferred)
  • Basic computer and data entry skills
Additional Requirements:
  • Reliable personal transportation (public transportation, Uber, or rideshare not acceptable)
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (Required)
  • Eligible for mileage reimbursement when traveling between sites
  • Must be punctual and ready to work at any assigned location within the coverage area

Work Environment:
  • This is a mobile/float position covering multiple phlebotomy service sites in the area.
  • Candidates must be willing and able to adapt to same-day location changes and schedule adjustments.
  • Training may occur at various locations based on trainer availability.
