- Draw quality blood samples from patients and prepares those specimens for lab testing while following established practices and procedures.
- Have direct contact with patients and creates an atmosphere of trust and confidence while explaining procedures to patients and drawing blood specimens in a skillful, safe, and accurate manner.
- Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection. Phlebotomy experience - pediatric and geriatric capillary and venipuncture - required.
- Demonstrate Leadership Behaviors while focusing on process excellence skills and sensitivity to confidentiality and accuracy to patient information.
- Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
- Maintains required records and documentation.
- Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general.
- Minimum of 3 years phlebotomy experience, including pediatric and geriatric patients (Required)
- At least 2 years in a Patient Service Center or similar setting (Preferred)
- Customer service experience in a healthcare or retail setting (Preferred)
- Basic computer and data entry skills
- Reliable personal transportation (public transportation, Uber, or rideshare not acceptable)
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record (Required)
- Eligible for mileage reimbursement when traveling between sites
- Must be punctual and ready to work at any assigned location within the coverage area
- Strong phlebotomy and patient interaction skills
- Independent and able to manage time effectively
- Flexible, adaptable, and dependable in changing environments
- Ability to multitask in a high-volume setting
- Professional and patient-focused attitude
- This is a mobile/float position covering multiple phlebotomy service sites in the area.
- Candidates must be willing and able to adapt to same-day location changes and schedule adjustments.
- Training may occur at various locations based on trainer availability.
