The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Rockford seeking Manufacturing Engineers who want more than a lateral move. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement permanent corrective actions. Develop and implement tooling, fixtures, and equipment to enhance manufacturing capabilities and improve ergonomics. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focusing on yield, cycle time reduction, and waste elimination. Create and maintain detailed manufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flows, and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Support new product introduction (NPI) by ensuring manufacturability and smooth transition from design to production. Collaborate with design, quality, and production teams to resolve technical challenges and implement engineering changes. Recommended Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field. 2 years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role within a production environment. Proficiency in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies for process optimization. Experience with CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and ERP systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis. Knowledge of various manufacturing processes such as machining, assembly, and automation.
