Qualifications
Associate’s Degree (ADN) or above in nursing
Active and unencumbered Registered Nurse license
1 year experience in a PACU, ICU, or a similar high‑acuity setting preferred
BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications from the American Heart Association
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team
Proficient in electronic medical record systems
Responsibilities
Provide immediate post‑operative care to a variety of surgical patients, monitoring vital signs, and managing symptoms of anesthesia
Administer prescribed medications and implement treatment plans as directed by medical staff
Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical teams to ensure seamless patient transition from the operating room to the PACU to discharge home
Educate patients and their families on post‑operative care, including pain management, wound care, and potential complications
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with hospital policies and procedures
