1585 Healthcare Capital is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious

Sales Development Associate

to help drive business development efforts across several healthcare portfolio companies. This role is on-site and ideal for someone eager to build a long-term sales career, gain exposure to multiple organizations, and make a measurable impact through proactive outreach and relationship building.

The Associate will work closely with sales leaders and executive teams across the portfolio and will play a critical role in identifying, generating, and nurturing new business opportunities through consistent outreach and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct high-volume outreaching including cold calls, warm calls, email campaigns, and follow-up communication—to generate qualified leads and open new business opportunities.

Research decision-makers, market segments, referral partners, and potential customer groups to build targeted prospect lists.

Introduce portfolio company services, schedule introductory calls, and support early-stage relationship building.

Pipeline Support & Opportunity Development

Maintain active pipelines for multiple portfolio companies, ensuring prospects move through the funnel effectively.

Track outreach activity, responses, and lead status in CRM systems while ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Coordinate handoffs to senior sales leaders or executives once prospects reach the appropriate stage.

Learn the unique value propositions of several healthcare organizations and adapt outreach messaging to match each company’s goals.

Support creation of sales collateral such as introductory scripts, outreach templates, brochures, and talking points.

Work closely with leadership teams to ensure consistent communication, follow-up, and scheduling of sales-related activities.

Relationship Building & Market Presence

Engage with prospective partners, physician offices, community organizations, and healthcare networks to increase visibility and brand recognition.

Attend occasional networking events, community visits, or virtual meetings to support field sales teams.

Provide meaningful feedback to leadership on prospect trends, referral patterns, and market observations.

Build a strong foundation in sales strategy, prospecting, and client engagement across diverse healthcare service lines.

Receive mentorship directly from experienced operators, executives, and sales leaders within 1585 Healthcare Capital’s portfolio.

Opportunity to grow into higher-level sales roles—including Inside Sales, Outside Sales, Account Executive, or Business Development Manager—as performance and experience develop.

Qualifications

Ability to work on-site in the office five (5) days per week as required for the role.

Strong interest in business development, sales outreach and building a long-term sales career.

Confident communication skills with the ability to engage decision-makers through phone calls, email, and virtual meetings.

Highly organized and able to manage multiple prospecting pipelines simultaneously.

Self-motivated, persistent, and comfortable with high-volume outreach.

Experience in sales, customer service, or outreach-driven roles is a plus but not required.
