Investment Banking Analyst / Associate – Food & Beverage
Location: Chicago, IL
A top‑tier middle‑market investment bank based in Chicago is seeking experienced investment banking professionals with a strong track record in M&A transactions. Experience within the consumer industry is a plus. This role is ideal for candidates with prior investment banking experience who are looking to deepen their sector expertise and contribute to high‑impact deal execution.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support all aspects of M&A transaction execution, including financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, and preparation of marketing and client materials.
Conduct in‑depth industry and company research with a focus on the food and beverage sector.
Prepare and review confidential information memoranda, management presentations, and other transaction‑related documents.
Participate in client meetings, negotiations, and strategic discussions alongside senior bankers.
Mentor and guide junior team members, contributing to a collaborative and high‑performance culture.
Qualifications
2+ years of prior investment banking experience at a recognized firm, with direct involvement in M&A transactions.
Demonstrated exposure to or interest in the consumer industry.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related discipline with strong academic credentials.
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, valuation methodologies, and Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
Ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast‑paced, team‑oriented environment.
Base pay range $125,000.00/yr – $150,000.00/yr
