Registered Nurse (RN) – Acute Care Med/Surg Location: Silver Spring, Maryland. Shift: 12‑hour Night Shift (7 pm–7 am). Employment: Full‑time, 36 hours per week.

Job Description

Reporting to the Director of 5 E/W Acute Care.

This is a true “med/surg” unit with a great variety of patients.

Kaiser patients are on this floor.

Responsibilities

Plans and manages care of routine patients.

Educates patients and family.

Planning continuum of care.

Required

Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN required within a specified timeframe.

Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.

BLS certification (American Heart Association); additional life support training as applicable to unit requirements.

Preferred

BSN or MSN preferred.

1 year of experience in an acute care setting.

Pay Range $38.92–$55.68 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the FLSA will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
