Production Operator 2nd Shift
Pay Rate: $22.00/hr (includes 10% shift differential) Schedule: Monday Thursday, 3:45 PM to 2:15 AM
The 2nd Shift Production Operator is responsible for operating manufacturing equipment, monitoring product quality, and maintaining accurate production records. This role supports the conversion of raw materials into finished goods while ensuring all processes meet company and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and able to follow established procedures in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate manufacturing equipment to produce finished goods from raw materials.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and update data sheets for materials in process.
- Conduct in-process quality tests, including hardness, weight, variation, pH, and moisture content.
- Identify equipment issues or product defects and troubleshoot to maintain optimal production efficiency.
- Follow blueprints, subassembly layouts, and schematics as required.
- Keep running logs of orders received, work completed, and current inventory levels.
- Assist with aligning labor, equipment capacity, and workload with production demands.
- Coordinate with production, planning, and maintenance teams to monitor and maintain master schedules.
- Request materials based on production needs and delivery timelines.
Skill Level
Entry-level position; little to no prior experience required. Learns job skills and company procedures through on-the-job training. Works within established guidelines and processes.
