We are seeking candidates for an Accounting Manager position to join a rapidly growing consumer goods and wholesaler company located in New Rochelle, NY. This position will have 3 direct reports and will oversee daily accounting operations, ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory standards, and play a key role in financial reporting and audit preparation. The ideal candidate has a strong technical accounting background, proven leadership skills, and hands‑on experience with ERP systems and process improvements. This is a permanent position that will pay a base salary $130-150k (depending on experience) plus bonus. This position is required to be onsite 5 days per week. Responsibilities Manage day‑to‑day accounting operations, including general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and inventory accounting. Lead the month‑end and year‑end close processes to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Oversee financial reporting, consolidations, and audit preparation, liaising with external auditors as needed. Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls to ensure compliance with GAAP, tax filings, and regulatory requirements. Provide leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities to a team of accounting professionals. Partner cross‑functionally with Finance and other departments to improve processes and drive efficiency. Utilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 and other ERP tools to enhance reporting and streamline workflows. Proficiency in ERP systems, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience strongly preferred. Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required). CPA or CMA certification is strongly preferred (required by some business units). 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience, including 2–3 years in a supervisory/managerial role. Public accounting experience (Big 4 or regional firm) highly valued. Strong knowledge of GAAP, audit processes, and regulatory requirements. Proficiency in ERP systems, with Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience strongly preferred. Advanced Excel skills, including financial modeling and data analysis.
