Position Summary As our Hospitality Director, you’ll be the driving force behind customer experiences for our wine club members and guests, primarily in Kenwood but also on the road. Your primary focus will be on planning and executing successful events, including wine club gatherings, private celebrations, corporate events, public wine tastings, private events and seasonal winery experiences. You’ll manage events from first inquiry through final toast, ensuring every detail reflects our brand and delivers an outstanding guest experience. The Hospitality Director is a highly visible, hands‑on leadership role requiring strategic insight, financial awareness, marketing acumen, operational discipline, and a genuine passion for wine and hospitality.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate, and execute winery events on‑site and off‑site
Serve as the primary contact for event clients and vendors
Lead site tours, create proposals and contracts, and manage event timelines
Oversee event setup, staffing, and day‑of execution
Collaborate with tasting room, production, culinary, and marketing teams
Manage budgets, payments, ROI and post‑event follow‑up
Drive sales and membership growth
Uphold brand standards and create memorable guest experiences
Qualifications
3+ years of experience in events, hospitality, or venue management
Strong organizational skills and calm leadership under pressure
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Passion for hospitality, wine, and events
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and minor holidays
Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
Must be able to pass a drug and background screening
Experience with weddings or winery events is a plus
