Emerge Motivation Initiatives (EMI) works to reduce incarceration, violence, and poverty by empowering youth and families facing barriers to success in Bernalillo County through its Egress Diversion Program. By focusing on sustainable initiatives and building strategic partnerships, EMI is strengthening the program’s capacity to create long‑term, meaningful impact for its participants. EMI’s efforts aim to reduce poverty by promoting positive lifestyle alternatives, decreasing recidivism, and supporting brighter futures for youth and their families. The EMI Egress Youth Diversion Program, located in Albuquerque, New Mexico, provides prevention and intervention services for pre‑adjudicated and nonviolent adjudicated youth.
Member Duties
The Partnership VISTA will strengthen EMI’s organizational capacity by supporting the development of strategic partnerships that expand program access, resources, and collaboration.
Identify potential community partners, strengthen partner‑related data systems, and assist in building internal processes for partner engagement and commitment tracking.
Help create tools, resources, and materials that enhance EMI’s community outreach and partnership efforts.
By building stronger and more sustainable partnerships, expand EMI’s capacity to connect youth and families with economic resources, supportive services, and growth opportunities.
Directly contribute to EMI’s long‑term goal of breaking the cycle of poverty.
