Strycker’s Bay Neighborhood Council is a grassroots, community-based organization serving the Upper West Side and Harlem. Our mission is to give families and children access to tools, resources, and knowledge that will empower them to break the cyclical nature of poverty and improve their quality of life. We serve as a neighborhood anchor that operates with an open door policy and with a staff that mirrors our community’s culture and lived experiences with an intimate knowledge of ongoing needs of low-income families, parents and children reaching for school success within a system and community not set up to meet their needs. Our services include after school programming, tutoring, summer camp, youth workforce development, eviction prevention assistance, and family support.
