Job Title Physician – Physician - Department of Neurology, Epilepsy (Open Rank/Track Faculty)

Position Overview The Division of Epilepsy within the Department of Neurology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center seeks to hire an epileptologist who is board‑eligible or certified in Neurology and Epilepsy. The role focuses on acute, chronic, and tertiary care of epilepsy patients, EEG interpretation, electrocorticography, and evaluation of patients for epilepsy surgery, including stereo EEG, intra‑ and extra‑operative functional brain mapping and neurostimulation. The candidate will have an M.D. or D.O. equivalent and will be supported by a large clinical/administrative and nursing team.

Responsibilities

Teaching of medical students, residents, fellows, and trainees in clinical neurology and epileptology.

Managing outpatient epilepsy clinics.

Reading EEG, ICU EEG, and EMU service responsibilities.

Requirements

Board‑eligible or certified in Neurology and Epilepsy.

M.D. or D.O. equivalent degree.

Expertise in acute, chronic, and tertiary care of epilepsy patients.

Strong skills in EEG interpretation, electrocorticography, and epilepsy surgery evaluation, including stereo EEG, intra‑ and extra‑operative mappings and neurostimulation (VNS, RNS, DBS).

Experience managing the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.
