We are searching for 1-2 providers who can consistently provide up to 14 wks/year of tele-radiology services to help fill the schedule around the vacation/holiday schedule of the employed providers. This need is expected to last 1-2yrs+ and we do not have exact dates yet. Working to have those within the next few weeks.

Hospital will provide each physician with a workstation, which will need to be shipped to their home. Please make sure the locums are aware of these details prior to presenting providers.

Coverage Need Details: Daylight M-F: CT, Ultrasound, General Radiology, and MRI. Will review locums that cannot do MRI.

Primarily CT rotation - while others may come up this should be level set with the locums

Expected hours: 7a-4p M-F

7/21-25 to 12/31

Coverage Need Details: Daylight M-F:

Locums will read the following:

  • 30-35 CT exams (No ER exams, Outpatient/Inpatient only)
  • 15 MRI OP exams
  • 30-35 general X-Ray exams

9/10-12, 9/26, 10/24, 11/6 & 7, 11/26, 11/28, 12/15, 12/29-12/31


Volumes per shift: Combination exams

Modalities: CT, General Radiology(X-Ray/Plain Films), MRI, US

Support staff: Clerical, Technologist, and Administrative

PACs (Picture Archiving and Communication System): Philips Enterprise 4.7 PACS
The exams will consist of ER, Inpatient, and Outpatient exams. We are a community hospital and only a level 3 trauma, with low level trauma, not level 1 or 2 cases.
Is there radiology PAC training and Dictaphone training for tele radiologist ? Yes, our Radiology Informatics Team will provide the training for PACS and reporting/dictation.
Is there a 24 hour IT help and support ? Yes, we have Radiology Informatics on call as well as IT
Is there someone at radiology / Hospital call clinician to report critical care results for report or dictate ? Yes, the Radiology clerical staff assist with this and monitor critical alerts to ensure reporting.
Does teleradiologist need to call clinician to report critical results ? Yes, critical results are called to the clinician, Radiology clerical staff can assist with this.
Can teleradiologist consult other teleradiologist or onsite radiologists about a case if necessary ? Yes, there will be 3 other Radiologists available during the hours requested that can be consulted.
