Job Summary
A Senior Electrical Engineer is needed for a global engineering, construction and project management company in the Houston, TX area. This role requires 5-10 years of experience to manage the full‑cycle design, global coordination, and procurement of power systems for large‑scale industrial projects such as data centers.

Responsibilities
Lead the electrical design, development, and material requisition process for complex industrial projects.
Evaluate and apply standard electrical engineering techniques to create original layouts, drawings, and specifications.
Design and modify systems for the generation, transmission, and storage of electricity using internal design standards.
Act as the primary technical interface for clients, vendors, contractors, and regulatory agencies.
Prepare conceptual studies, reports, and proposals to support project bids and execution.
Coordinate multi‑disciplinary engineering efforts, specifically managing design integration between global office locations.
Serve as the responsible Engineer for large material requisitions including transformers, switchgear, and substations.
Perform complex calculations and designs for grounding, lightning protection, and electrical raceway systems.
Design medium and low voltage power systems, including One Lines, MCCs, and distribution boards.
Ensure all designs and documentation strictly comply with NEC codes and ANSI/IEEE standards.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff and project construction teams.
Manage the selection of equipment based on detailed reliability analysis and technical specifications.
Skills
Knowledge and application of NEC code and ANSI/IEEE Standards.
Excellent collaboration with other disciplines.
Experience as an electrical responsible engineer for medium to large material requisitions (Transformers, Switchgear, Substations, UPS Systems, Bulk Materials, etc).
Knowledge of medium voltage systems (34.5kV / 13.8kV) and low voltage systems (480 and 208/120V) including Switchgear, MCCs, Switchboard/Distribution Board, and Lighting Panel Design.
Proficiency in Power System One Lines, Schematics, and Connection Diagrams.
Expertise in electrical raceway design and layout including lighting, communications, grounding layout, grounding designs/calculations, and lightning protection systems.
Professional Registration License (P.E.) in Electrical Engineering discipline (Power).
Education and Experience Level I
Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent).
5-8 years of relevant experience.
Level II
Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent).
8-10 years of relevant experience.
