Valley Hope of O’Neill has an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Program Director to join our dedicated and passionate team. Successful candidates may be licensed as Counselor, Social Worker, Psychotherapist, or Therapist, including credentials such as LADC, LMHP, LCSW, LIMHP. We are a community-based organization that restores lives affected by addiction and supports lifelong recovery.

Education & Experience
Master’s degree in a healthcare-related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Independent licensure to provide diagnosis and treatment for Substance Abuse Disorder and/or Mental Health.
Five (5) or more years of experience in case management.
Five (5) or more years of progressive work and relevant industry experience, preferably in a residential or outpatient treatment program.
CPR certification.
Preferred
Doctoral degree in healthcare or related field.
Additional education, training or work experience in business management.
Seven (7) or more years of progressive work and relevant industry experience, preferably in a residential or outpatient treatment program.
Five (5) or more years of supervisory and/or management experience.
Work experience with healthcare accreditation, preferably within the substance abuse treatment industry.
Compensation
Starting salary range $100,000 – $115,000 per year (based on education and experience).

Job Summary
Oversees and manages clinical/psychological services for the residential treatment facility.
Coordinates day-to-day supervision with clinical staff to ensure activities comply with Valley Hope’s policies, procedures, and standards.
Directly supervises counseling staff, providing routine performance feedback, ongoing leadership, and mentoring.
Supervises all aspects of clinical care, including case management, inpatient treatment services, and pastoral care.
Oversees lecture series and Alcoholics Anonymous orientation education for the facility.
Leads facility performance improvement activities, including clinical services, and collaborates with facility management to implement improvements.
Manages patient census to meet budgeted goals and ensures financial viability.
Partners with the Executive Director on the annual budget, communicating concerns as needed.
Maintains patient confidentiality and ensures compliance with HIPAA and all policies regarding patient information protection.
Ensures compliance with Joint Commission guidelines related to admissions and facility administration.
Performs public relations activities to maximize patient referrals and maintain strong referential relationships.
Works with the facility advisory board to promote treatment service availability through the Valley Hope Foundation.
Maintains current working knowledge of counseling procedures and substance abuse treatments in accordance with company policy, state, and federal guidelines.
Stays informed about trends in the substance abuse treatment industry and related regulatory requirements.
Work Environment
Office setting with traditional hours within a residential treatment facility.
Direct contact with patients.
Sitting for extended periods; regularly talking to and listening to others.
Ability to work at a rapid pace for long periods.
Estimated travel of 15-20% of the time.
