is seeking an experienced
FSQA Manager
to lead its Food Safety, Quality Assurance, and Sanitation teams. This role is ideal for a proactive leader with a strong background in food manufacturing, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the
Quality and Sanitation departments , setting clear goals and fostering a culture of accountability and development.
Ensure timely review and approval of production records, SOPs/SSOPs, investigations, corrective actions, change controls, and technical documentation.
Assign and communicate priorities to direct reports, ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with quality standards.
Lead or support investigations of non-conformances, implementing effective corrective and preventive actions.
Ensure audit readiness and lead facility audits to
GFSI standards
(e.g., SQF, BRC).
Perform other duties as needed to support operational and quality excellence.
Qualifications
Experience in the
dairy
manufacturing industry
Bachelor's in Food Science, Microbiology, or a related field
Minimum of 8 years of experience in food safety and quality assurance, with at least 5 years in a direct management/supervisory function.
In-depth knowledge of food safety regulations and quality management systems (e.g., SQF, BRC, USDA, FDA, Organic, etc.).
Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to drive cross-functional collaboration.
Demonstrated success in leading GFSI-certified audits and maintaining high standards of food safety and quality.
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
