Overview You will work closely with the guidance, navigation, and control (GN&C) team to integrate FPGA‑based components into the GN&C subsystem. The role is deeply interdisciplinary, requiring coordination among internal stakeholders, adjacent product teams, and suppliers, and enabling flight of state‑of‑the‑art aerospace vehicles and missions.
What You Will Do
Design and simulate end‑to‑end systems to meet required performance specifications such as range, signal‑to‑noise ratio, and link budget.
Design and validate signal processing algorithms for detection, tracking, RF calibration, and parameter estimation.
Support MATLAB/Simulink code generation for signal processing and filtering.
Analyze algorithmic computational complexity and hardware resource needs (FPGA fabric, memory/IO bandwidth, etc.).
Calibrate signal‑to‑noise/clutter ratio, signal sensitivity, and RF nonlinearity.
Collaborate with hardware engineers to select devices such as FPGA, ADC/DAC, DDR3/4, NOR flash, etc.
Support hardware bring‑up and work alongside EE engineers to verify design.
Implement RTL logic and prototype on FPGA.
What You Need To Have
B.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 5+ years of DSP experience.
