Base pay range $80,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr
Cost Accountant
Location: South Seattle
Compensation: $80,000–$100,000K annually
Schedule: 100% onsite
About the Role A growing, multi‑entity organization is seeking a Cost Accountant to join its high‑energy, collaborative finance team. This role supports a complex environment with ten active entities, a large accounting department, and ongoing operational and strategic initiatives. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast‑paced setting, enjoys variety, and brings strong technical accounting skills with a focus on inventory, costing, accuracy, and efficiency.
What You’ll Do
Manage month‑end close activities across multiple entities
Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules
Handle AP, prepaids, balance sheet work, and cost‑related journal entries
Support inventory‑heavy accounting processes and costing methodologies
Assist with M&A‑related accounting, integrations, and special projects
Work across several ERP and MRP systems to maintain accurate financial data
Partner with operations, supply chain, and other departments to resolve issues and improve processes
Participate in audit preparation and internal documentation
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the accounting team
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
3+ years of progressive accounting experience; public accounting background highly valued
Strong understanding of cost accounting and inventory processes
Experience working within multi‑entity general ledger structures
Comfortable navigating multiple ERP/MRP systems (experience with aviation or manufacturing systems a plus)
Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently in a deadline‑driven environment
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Enjoys a social, team‑oriented culture
Large accounting department with 20+ team members across multiple locations
Highly collaborative, friendly, and people‑focused culture
