The Division of Endocrinology is a vibrant and growing team of physicians, advanced practitioners, nurses, diabetes nurse educators, nutritionists and support staff. While we see a variety of patients in our hospital and clinic-based practices, our focus is on rare and complex endocrine disease. The Endocrinology APP Supervisor will oversee 7 APPs across two campus locations. The ideal leader will have an interest in both inpatient and outpatient endocrinology with the majority of their time spent in the outpatient setting. This person must have endocrinology experience and an interest in developing staff and building a cohesive and collaborative culture. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Supervisor oversees the day-to-day clinical operations of the designated unit(s), providing guidance and support to the allied health clinical staff (and associated practice support staff, if relevant) to ensure that a high level of patient-focused care and quality service is delivered. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is an advanced practice provider with advanced health assessment and decision-making skills, prepared through a formal educational program that meets criteria established by the profession. Nurse practitioners or Physician Assistants are certified by examination of an approved certifying body. This individual works independently and in collaboration with physicians and other health care professionals to provide health care continuity across the continuum of care for assigned patients. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant provides clinical services in an ambulatory clinic setting greater than 50% of the time. Clinical services include primary health and specialty-specific care to new and established patients, assess and manage common acute and chronic illnesses, consult, and make referrals, and collaborate with physicians and other members of the health care team. The Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant will be involved in patient and family education of disease management and treatments and may also be involved in research or educational activities within their department. Responsible for combining nursing care with aspects of medical care, focusing on the patient as a whole person. The provision of care includes, but is not limited to: comprehensive assessment, ordering, conducting and interpreting diagnostic tests, and prescription of pharmacological agents and treatments and non-pharmacological therapies. Qualifications

New Grads will not be considered. Experience in Endocrine. Nurse Practitioner:

Masters-prepared graduate of an accredited school of nursing and Nurse Practitioner program. Current State AZ RN and APRN license and certification as a FNP, ANP. Physician Assistant:

Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program with current PA certification by NCCPA and registration as a PA by the State AZ State Board of Medical Practice. Additional Qualifications: Two (2) to five (5) years of clinical experience required. Primary care, acute care, and/or surgical experience preferred. Excellent verbal, written and oral communication skills. Flexibility to adjust schedule to meet patient and staff needs. Ability to manage time and stress effectively and adapt to unpredictable situations within the patient care setting. Equal Opportunity
