Job Summary We are looking for a dedicated Emergency Department nurse to provide compassionate, high‑quality care to patients during night shifts. The role requires strong clinical skills, teamwork, and a commitment to patient safety.
Core Responsibilities and Essential Functions
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients in the emergency department during night shift.
Respond to emergency calls and provide rapid interventions.
Document patient care accurately in the electronic health record.
Assist with patient transfers, triage, and disposition processes.
Collaborate with physicians, ambulance staff, and other team members to coordinate patient care.
Required Minimum Education
Associate’s Degree in Nursing or Nursing Diploma.
Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s)
BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC‑BLS or BLS‑I.
RN – Registered Nurse (single state) or RN‑COMPACT (multi‑state).
PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support or ARC‑PALS or PALS‑I or PALS‑P (within 180 days).
TNCC – Trauma Nurse Core Course or TNCC‑P (within 18 months).
ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC‑ALS or ACLS‑I or ACLS‑P (within 180 days).
Additional Licenses and Certifications Additional certifications such as
Infection Control
or
Neonatal Resuscitation Program
may be required depending on hospital policy.
Required Minimum Experience Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care emergency department setting.
Required Minimum Skills Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, effective communication, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
