We are currently recruiting an experienced
Ultrasound Tech / Sonographer
to work
PRN
with Women’s Imaging in Voorhees, NJ. Candidates seeking full‑time or part‑time are welcome to apply as well.
Job Summary
Perform MFM level scans, including high‑quality ultrasound examinations such as comprehensive growth scans (detailed anatomy) and Nuchal Translucency scans in accordance with approved techniques and protocols.
Perform general OBGYN scans.
Review prior images and imaging reports before the ultrasound exam.
Review and verify physician’s orders.
Prepare patients for diagnostic procedures, explain procedures, and position patients for each anatomical view.
Evaluate image quality and interpret images captured; calculate, compile, and record data from numerical readings in patient charts.
Maintain patient records and add medical notes related to the ultrasound procedure.
Present images and preliminary findings to physicians and the healthcare team.
Maintain ultrasound equipment and sterilize the room between patients.
Utilize PACs, EMR, and other imaging systems.
Stock and replenish supplies as required.
Maintain certifications by completing assigned compliance and continuing education requirements.
Perform other associated tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
Formal education and completion of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound program.
Current RDMS certification from ARDMS in Ob/Gyn.
At least 2 years of recent experience performing OB/GYN and perinatal ultrasounds, including NT and comprehensive growth scans.
Additional ARDMS certification in Fetal Echocardiography (FT) desirable; previous experience with FE highly preferable.
Additional ARDMS certification in Abdomen (AB).
Previous experience using eClinicalWorks (EMR).
Knowledge of specific order sets and related CPT coding.
Demonstrated ability to accurately recognize and document pathology identified in scans.
Strong knowledge of ultrasound equipment.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Strong attention to detail.
