CNC Machinist

Your Role The CNC Machinist programs, sets up, and operates Swiss-type lathes to produce precision components. Key duties include part inspection, machine maintenance, and cross‑functional collaboration in a safety‑focused, team‑driven environment. Your reports go to the Machining Manager.
Set up, operate, and monitor CNC Swiss‑type lathes to produce precision components
Interpret technical drawings and work instructions
Select and adjust cutting tools, collets, guide bushings, and machine components
Perform offsets, tool changes, and program edits at the control panel
Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers, indicators, and CMM
Write G‑code programs using CAD/CAM software based on engineering specs
Conduct routine machine maintenance and maintain a clean, organized workspace
Collaborate with engineering, quality, planning, and production teams
Support new product, tooling, and process implementations
Foster a collaborative, team‑based learning environment
Promote safety and perform regular housekeeping duties

Qualifications
Minimum 5 years' experience in machining
Set up and operate multi‑spindle CNC machines
Read and interpret technical drawings and understand GD&T
Read, write, and edit G‑code programs
Set, use, and read precision layout and measuring instruments
High School Diploma or equivalent
Physical Requirements (AS APPLICABLE)
Lift and position parts weighing up to approximately 50 pounds periodically
Grip, push and pull carts loaded with parts
Stand for the duration of the shift
