*Job Overview*
We are seeking an experienced, highly capable *Senior CNC Programmer/Machinist* who can take full ownership of complex machining projects from start to finish. This role combines *advanced programming*, *precision setup*, and *hands‑on machining* across 5‑axis mills and multi‑axis lathes. *Duties*
* *Program complex parts* for 3‑axis, 5‑axis mills, and multi‑axis lathes (including live tooling, sub‑spindle, and Y‑axis operations)
* Develop efficient toolpaths using GibbsCAM software
* Perform *complete machine setups*, including fixturing, tooling, probing, and first‑article validation
* Operate and troubleshoot CNC equipment to ensure optimal performance and part quality
* Optimize cycle times, tool life, and machining strategies for maximum efficiency
* Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T, and 3D models
* Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturability
* Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and documentation
* Assist in developing machining processes, work holding solutions, and tooling strategies
*Qualifications*
* *3+ years* of CNC programming experience, including 5‑axis and multi‑axis lathe programming
* Strong proficiency with *CAM software*
* Proven ability to *set up and run* CNC mills and lathes independently
* Deep understanding of *feeds/speeds*, tooling selection, and machining best practices
* Ability to work from complex prints and 3D CAD models
* Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple jobs and work with minimal supervision
Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
