Verbal Beginnings is a leading Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy provider serving children diagnosed with autism. We provide extensive training to anyone interested in learning about ABA therapy and autism and have a passion for working with children.
Schedule, Location and Compensation
When:
Sessions typically occur 3–5 days per week for 2–3 hours, most often between 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Where:
Sessions typically occur in the child’s natural environment (the child’s home, community, and/or school).
Compensation:
$20.00 – $29.00 per hour, based on experience and certifications.

Responsibilities
Implement individualized treatment plans under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to address communication, behavior, feeding, ADLs, and social skills.
Collect and record data to monitor progress of a treatment plan and collaborate with the clinical supervisor to update the plan as necessary.
Qualifications
Patience, compassion, and a genuine desire to help children with autism achieve their goals.
Desire to learn about Autism and Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Therapy.
Ability to work independently and collaborate with others.
High School Diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree (completed or in progress) preferred.
Experience working with children.
Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
Completion or proof of completion of the 40‑hour RBT course (provided by Verbal Beginnings if needed).
PA Clearances and Physical Requirements
State of Pennsylvania requirements: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Check, FBI Fingerprinting, CPSL Training, CPR certification.
Physical functions: reaching, grasping, walking briskly or running, sitting on the floor, kneeling, crouching, ascending/descending stairs, transitioning quickly between standing, sitting, and other positions.
Communication: speak clearly, use age‑appropriate language, maintain attention through verbal and non‑verbal communication.
Independent vehicle operation to travel to and from client locations.
Salary Range USD $20.00 – $29.00 per hour.
