Job Description
IRG Clients is seeking a Mid-Level Desktop Support Technician to provide onsite and remote endpoint support for 14 state agencies. This role is responsible for PC replacements, device imaging, troubleshooting, software installations, and asset management. The technician will work closely with internal teams to ensure reliable desktop services that support critical operations for citizens of North Carolina.
Key Responsibilities
Provide onsite and remote desktop support to end users, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues
Perform PC replacements, imaging, provisioning, hookups, and asset inventories
Support Windows OS, Microsoft 365, mobile devices, and Apple devices
Install, test, and upgrade software following security and internal processes
Document all work activities in ServiceNow
Track onboarding, shipping, and asset records using strong organizational skills
Follow asset management processes to ensure accurate billing
Test Intune processes and software changes, and provide feedback to Tier 3 teams
Collaborate with internal teams and vendors, including warranty support cases
Assist with process improvements, documentation, and knowledge base development
Participate in special projects as assigned
Required Skills & Experience
3 years of desktop or system support experience
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical users
Hands-on experience with Windows OS and Microsoft 365
Experience imaging and provisioning new hardware
Experience supporting mobile and Apple devices
Experience troubleshooting desktop and endpoint issues
Familiarity with Intune, MECM, Active Directory, Tanium, CrowdStrike, and BeyondTrust
Experience testing upgrades and software changesAbility to work effectively in an onsite environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working in an enterprise or government IT environment
Strong documentation and process improvement skills
