Virtual Interview

Selected candidates are expected to work in Albany office 2-3 days per week

Day-to-day tasks

Work closely with business users and stakeholders for requirements gathering sessions.

Elicit requirements and/or review/analyze existing documentation or system artifacts to document and resolve software application issues.

Document software solutions and business system requirements and processes, develop process model, and document requirements for the development/implementation and improved processing of various types of systems in detailed, clear and well-organized functional documents (business requirements documents, business or system use cases, reports) and/or process flow diagrams.

Perform solution analysis, and work with CISO and architect teams on solution proposals.

Develop or maintain test plans and detailed test cases/scripts utilizing Client Quality Center.

Execute functional and system tests and record results in user acceptance testing.

Identify and document application defects and track to resolution, performing retesting as required.

Identify and document deficiencies in system documentation (e.g. missing or ambiguous requirements) identified during the testing process.

Participate in status meetings and provide weekly reports.

Design and assist in execution of Performance Test Plans and testing.

Interact with ITS staff, business users and stakeholders as necessary to determine and implement functional and technical requirements.

Ensure appropriate test coverage by mapping system requirements to test cases.

Develop or contribute to the development of regression tests and/or user acceptance tests.

Work closely with the project manager and functional manager to ensure timely deliverables.

Software Analyst Studies the software application domain, prepares software requirements, and specification documents. Liaises between the software users and the software developers. Conveys the demands of software users to the developers. Skills include: working knowledge of software technology; computer programming experience/expertise; general business knowledge; problem solving/reduction skills; interpersonal relation skills; flexibility and adaptability.

84+ Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.

84 months experience eliciting/extracting detailed business/software application requirements from customer/project stakeholders or system artifacts.

84 months experience in obtaining and writing business, user and functional requirements, use cases, process models, workflows, creating screen mock-ups, report mock-ups, and technical documents with attention to detail.

60 months experience developing/maintaining test plans and detailed test cases, executing those tests, validating test results, and logging/tracking related defects.

24 months experience supporting an enterprise Learning Management System. Including system analysis, configuration, and reporting design and configuration.

24 months experience designing user interfaces for software applications using tools such as Balsamiq or equivalent.
