About the Role Texas Health and Human Services Commission is seeking two Systems Analyst 2 professionals to join the MCS team. You’ll play a key role in expanding and supporting the Microsoft 365 Power Platform for custom application development.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze business objectives and user requirements to design effective solutions.
Develop and implement applications using Power Platform tools:
PowerApps (Canvas & Model-driven)
Power Automate (Flows, Desktop Flows, Business Process Flows)
Dataverse, Power Pages, and related components.
Collaborate with stakeholders to improve operational processes and system capabilities.
Document user needs, program functions, and technical specifications.
Support Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) administration.
Required Skills
4+ years in Microsoft Power Platform development.
Expertise in PowerApps, Power Automate, Dataverse, and Power Pages.
Experience with SaaS/PaaS environments.
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
Preferred
Agile development experience.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Familiarity with Power Virtual Agents and mobile apps.
Candidate Skills and Qualifications Minimum Requirements Years Required/ Preferred Experience
5 Required Experience with Software as a Service (SaaS) and/or Platform as a Service (PaaS) environments
4 Required Experience with Microsoft PowerApps and Power Automate technical solutions
4 Required Experience in Microsoft Power Platform development
4 Required Experience in design and development of Canvas and Model‑driven PowerApps by utilizing Microsoft Dataverse, SharePoint, or other databases as the backend data storage model
4 Required Experience developing Power Automate Flows, Desktop Flows, business process Flows
4 Required Experience in Dataverse tables and uses
4 Required Experience in Power Pages portals
4 Required Experience in Power Platform Center of Excellence (CoE) Admin Center
2 Preferred Communication, analytical and interpersonal skills at all levels of an organization
2 Preferred Good teamwork skills, and ability to collaborate with other functional and technical staff on the project
2 Preferred Experience in Agile development and sprint planning
2 Preferred Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively on cross‑functional teams
1 Preferred Experience with Power Platform mobile apps, Power Virtual Agents, Power Pages, and PowerApps portals
