JOB SUMMARY Works under close supervision to provide tasks required for the daily operations of Document Imaging system. Ensures that all aspects of system operations are performed consistently and timely with quality level required.

EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION Required
Education:
High School Diploma or GED or
Experience:
3 years document imaging system experience with working knowledge of medical records/HIM.
JOB DUTIES
Coordinates, schedules, and monitors document preparation and scanning. Indexes work volumes for both document imaging staff and equipment resources to ensure turnaround time and accuracy requirements are achieved.
Plans and coordinates professional development of department staff including assisting in developing and conducting training classes. Follows university performance appraisal and disciplinary review process, communicates policy and procedure changes to staff individually and in team meetings.
Supervises performance of department staff including setting standards for productivity and accuracy, monitoring performance, and reporting and communicating results to staff and management.
Reviews system, work flow, and process problem identification, troubleshooting, and resolution. Promptly communicates problems to management, effected system uses, and system vendors. Recommends and/or implements process, policy, and procedural changes as necessary to maintain efficient operation of document imaging scanning and indexing process.
Performs quality assurance activities to verify accurate indexing, filing, storage, and retrieval of document images to identify opportunities for training and process improvement.
Attends meetings as required and participates on committees as directed.
Coordinates scheduling of staffing for department operations. Assists manager with recruiting and interviewing applicants for staff positions.
Coordinates preventive maintenance, service calls, and supply/parts ordering as necessary and/or required by service contracts to ensure reliable performance and longevity of document imaging system equipment.
Performs other duties as assigned.
