Connecting Telecom, Energy and Utility Experts Globally - tko@firstpointgroup.com Electrical Engineer (Semiconductor industry)
Lead electrical planning and design for large-scale power generation facilities supporting multiple industrial tenants, including AI data centers and giga-factories nationwide.
Role is On-Site in Houston Area.
Perform end-to-end electrical system design including conceptual, detailed, and IFC-level engineering
Act as Electrical Responsible Engineer for medium to large material requisitions such as transformers, MV/LV switchgear, substations, UPS systems, and bulk materials
Develop and review power system studies including load flow, short circuit, coordination, arc flash, and grounding analyses
Produce and review one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and connection diagrams
Design medium-voltage systems (34.5kV / 13.8kV) and low-voltage systems (480V / 208-120V)
Lead electrical raceway design and layout including lighting, grounding, communications, and lightning protection systems
Apply NEC, ANSI, IEEE, and applicable local and international electrical codes and standards
Coordinate electrical design interfaces with civil, mechanical, instrumentation, and process disciplines
Support project execution through estimating, staffing plans, schedules, and work planning aligned to scope and budget
Resolve complex technical issues and provide engineering recommendations to project and technical leadership
Interface directly with clients, vendors, and suppliers to review designs, specifications, and technical submittals
Support factory acceptance tests (FATs), site acceptance tests (SATs), and commissioning activities
Mentor and technically guide junior and mid-level electrical engineers
Coordinate design execution across multi-office and international EPC engineering teams
