This position requires a US citizen with a transferable DoD Secret clearance and is for an onsite engagement.

The role is within the Electro‑Optics (EO) department, responsible for requirements decomposition, detailed design, and production support of EO sensors/seekers, including detectors, cryogenic systems, and optical structures.

Engineers in this team design, model, analyze, and verify optical components, mechanics holding optics, and cryogenic systems used to cool detectors, relay critical interface and performance requirements to suppliers, and assemble, test, and verify optical, electrical, and mechanical components into the sensor/sub‑system.

Qualifications You Must Have

Master’s degree in Optical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related STEM field.

Experience with electro‑optical subsystems.

Less than 12 months of relevant professional work experience (internships excluded).

Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued security clearance is required prior to the start date; U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications We Prefer

ABET accreditation preferred; cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher desired.

Ability to develop and present technical briefings.

Current or active DoD security clearance or SSBI.

Experience troubleshooting investigations and processes.

Experience with test equipment, test automation scripting, sensor control, and test conduction.

Compensation & Benefits Salary range: 66,000 USD – 130,000 USD, dependent on experience and qualifications.

Eligibility may vary by business unit and collective‑bargaining agreement.
