Role Overview
We are seeking a
Junior Estimator
to support the preconstruction team in developing accurate and competitive project estimates. This role is ideal for someone with early estimating experience who wants to grow within a commercial construction environment and gain hands‑on exposure to a variety of project types.
Key Responsibilities
Review drawings and specifications to assist with quantity take‑offs
Send bid invitations and coordinate subcontractor pricing
Track, organize, and level subcontractor proposals
Review bids for scope completeness and accuracy
Assist with preparation and assembly of final bid packages
Maintain pricing logs and historical cost data
Support value engineering discussions and cost‑saving initiatives
Assist with project handoff from preconstruction to operations
Stay current on construction methods, materials, and pricing trends
Qualifications
2+ years of estimating experience
with a commercial general contractor or subcontractor
Exposure to ground‑up and interior commercial construction preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Excel
Experience with Bluebeam or similar take‑off software preferred
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Clear communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
High school diploma required; associate degree or equivalent experience preferred
Additional Information
Office-based role in Dallas, TX
Valid driver’s license required
Background screening required
Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs (reasonable accommodations available)
