Tempus Veterinary Recruitment has partnered with iHire to attract top talent for an Associate Veterinarian position at a private veterinary hospital. This clinic serves small animals, pocket pets, and occasional exotics, offering general practice, urgent care, and emergency services. Candidates may specialize in general practice, emergency, or surgery. The hospital is open seven days a week and welcomes applicants who predominantly see dogs and cats. Working Hours & Rota
The hospital operates 8:00 am–6:30 pm, Monday through Sunday. Doctors typically work four 10‑hour days with a 1.5‑hour lunch, and weekend coverage is required (one weekend day per week). Full‑time is the preferred schedule. Role Description & Responsibilities
This high‑volume general practice role encompasses a broad spectrum of cases, including surgery, dentistry, wellness, and emergency medicine. The veterinarian will manage walk‑in and scheduled appointments, participate in surgical suites throughout the week, and contribute to the clinic’s collaborative culture. Surgery specialists are especially encouraged. The position offers mentorship and a team‑orientated work environment. Practice Details
The practice is equipped with digital x‑rays, dental x‑rays, an in‑house laboratory, endoscopy, ultrasound, and weekly access to a visiting ultrasonographer. The clinic uses Avimark records and has recently expanded to include three surgical suites, 12 exam rooms, and six wet tables. While not yet accredited, AAHA certification is a future goal. The hospital has served the community for over 40 years and is known for its collaborative culture and high client satisfaction. Team
The team consists of seven DVMs and approximately 70 support staff, with each doctor supported daily by 1–2 dedicated room nurses. The clinic maintains a supportive, well‑coordinated environment with multiple doctors scheduled each day and consistent on‑site management. Candidate Requirements
Must hold a relevant veterinary degree and additional qualifications required to work as a veterinarian in the United States. Must hold, be in the process of, or be able to obtain a state license for the state in which they are applying. Must have the right to work in the United States or be able to obtain the required visa. Benefits & Salary
