Position Purpose
Evaluates and treats patients using the principles and practices of speech language pathology in accordance with the patient's age, developmental level, and diagnosis.
Assists clinical manager with administrative duties as assigned.
Essential Functions
Evaluates patients, conducts diagnostic evaluations, establishes goals and develops individualized treatment plans. Provides direct patient treatment based on current speech and language pathology practice and revises treatment plan based on the patient's response.
Provides counseling and education (as necessary) to patient and family regarding patients' abilities and needs for assistance and continued therapeutic intervention.
Consults with physicians on patient's evaluations, progress and complications with treatment.
Maintains medical and departmental records according to department policies and procedures.
Communicates with other professional staff and patient's family/support system to provide continuity of care.
General Job Requirements
Bilingual English/Spanish a plus
Experience working with children
Effective written and verbal communication skills
Customer Service skills
SLP-IL License
CPR Card
CCC and IDFPR licensure required
