Assistant Professor of Endocrinology
The University of Virginia School of Medicine, Division of Endocrinology & Metabolism (Department of Medicine), seeks candidates to fill an Assistant Professor of Medicine position on the Tenure‑Ineligible Clinical Faculty Track. The successful candidate will provide clinical care for various endocrine disorders, including bone, mineral, diabetes, thyroid, adrenal, gonadal, and pituitary. Care will be provided primarily at our UVA Endocrinology/Diabetes clinic and local UVA outreach clinics. The successful candidate must demonstrate a strong commitment to medical education and a commitment to scholarship/quality improvement.
The Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism is a collegial and collaborative team with a rich and long‑standing tradition of excellence in research, patient care, and education. The Division currently has 32 faculty members, including six full professors, eight associate professors, nine assistant professors, eleven nurse practitioners, and nine emeritus professors, as well as six endocrine fellows. Faculty members strive to provide the best possible care to patients with various hormonal and metabolic disorders, deliver top‑tier training for the next generation of physicians and scientists, and conduct cutting‑edge scientific discoveries in both clinical and basic endocrine research.

Qualifications The successful candidate must have an M.D. degree or equivalent, be board certified in Internal Medicine, and be ABIM board‑eligible or certified in Endocrinology, Diabetes, and Metabolism by the appointment start date. Experience with bone disorders will be prioritized.
