Requirements
18 months of experience as a Surgical Technologist in an acute care setting
High School Diploma or completion of an accredited Operating Room Technologist course or equivalent training
BLS Certified and National Certification required
Must demonstrate dexterity in surgical instruments and knowledge of step‑by‑step procedures for various surgical cases

Duties & Responsibilities The primary responsibility of the Surgical Technologist is to assist clinical staff by performing a variety of support functions to facilitate delivery of surgical/procedural services and provide patient care for comfort, hygiene, and simple treatments.
Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures in a timely manner.
Participate as a team member by performing additional assignments as workload or specialty requires, as requested by the team.
Accountable for individual practice, performing duties under direct supervision of the registered nurse circulator and, when applicable, appropriately delegating and supervising tasks to provide optimum patient care.
Communicate effectively with other care providers (physicians, nurses, unit staff, business office, and medical records) to ensure continuity of patient care.
