Our client, a growing Managed Service Provider, is seeking an experienced
Systems Engineer
to support client projects and deliver high‑level technical solutions across small to mid‑sized business environments. This role partners closely with the Director of Technical Operations and internal teams to design, implement, and support secure, scalable IT systems.
Responsibilities
Serve as a primary technical resource and trusted advisor for clients.
Deliver remote and on‑site support across Windows environments.
Design, deploy, and support Windows Server, virtualization (Hypervisor/VMware ESX), and Active Directory.
Configure and support firewalls, VPNs, and security solutions (FortiGate, Cisco, SonicWALL, DUO preferred).
Manage tickets, execute client projects, and own issues from identification through resolution.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, and endpoint security issues.
Create clear documentation and maintain accurate time tracking.
Qualifications
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Advanced troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
Deep experience with Windows 11, Windows Server, AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, and Microsoft 365.
Working knowledge of networking fundamentals and TCP/IP.
Experience supporting VPNs, antivirus, EDR/MDR, email systems, and data migrations.
Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced MSP environment.
Preferred Experience
10+ years of systems/network administration.
Managed Service Provider (MSP) background.
Experience with tools such as Autotask, Datto RMM, and ITGlue.
Relevant certifications (A+, Network+, CompTIA, MCITP) a plus.
