Overview
The University of North Georgia is hiring an Admissions Counselor for the Dahlonega campus. The counselor recruits new students in middle and South Georgia regions through high school visits, college fairs, information sessions, and online outreach. The role provides accurate and timely information about UNG academic and co‑curricular program offerings, services, costs, and financial aid to prospective students, parents, guidance counselors, and other influencers. The counselor counselors prospective students on the enrollment process and maintains the recruitment territory. Responsibilities
Recruit prospective students and maintain personal contact with students, parents, high school counselors, teachers, and other influencers from inquiry through enrollment. Conduct admissions presentations, attend college fairs, manage recruitment correspondence via CRM, phone calls, and meetings. Travel extensively within the assigned recruitment territory, including evening and weekend workdays. Use technology (CRM, Enterprise, and Microsoft products) to maximize new student engagement from inquiry to enrollment. Compile and analyze data to assess recruitment and outreach strategies and efforts for the assigned territory. Plan and coordinate events in the middle to south Georgia areas to connect with accepted students, families, and high school guidance counselors. Support on‑campus events such as trainings, Saturday campus tours, Open Houses, and other admissions events. Serve on various admissions or UNG committees as directed. Other duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Self‑starter, able to work independently from a remote office location while functioning as part of the larger UNG Recruitment team. Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to make strong presentations to groups of prospective students and parents. Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds, work without supervision, multi‑task, manage workload, and meet deadlines. Must live in the middle‑Georgia or south‑Georgia area. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required. One year of college admissions experience required. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CRM and student information systems, enrollment‑related recruitment, and management of technology is preferred. Proficiency with the SCT Banner student information system and Microsoft Office Suite is desired. Required Documents to Attach
