Job Summary The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for an Admissions Counselor on the Dahlonega campus. The regional admissions counselor recruits new students within the middle and South Georgia regions through high school visits, college fairs, and information sessions, providing accurate and timely information about UNG academic and co‑curricular program offerings, services, costs and financial aid to prospective students, parents, guidance counselors, and other influencers, and counsels them on the enrollment process.

Responsibilities
Responsible for recruitment activities and achieving recruitment goals within a designated geographic territory.
Maintain personal contact with prospective students and their parents, high school counselors, teachers and other influencers from inquiry through enrollment.
Conduct high school visits, attend college fairs, conduct admissions presentations and manage recruitment correspondence via CRM, phone calls and meetings.
Extend travel within an assigned recruitment territory including some evening and weekend work days.
Extensively use technology (CRM, Enterprise, and Microsoft products) to maximize new student engagement and compile and analyze data to inform targeted recruitment strategies.
Plan and coordinate events in the middle to South Georgia areas to connect with accepted students, families, and high school counselors.
Support on‑campus events such as trainings, Saturday campus tours, Open Houses and other admissions related events.
Serve on various admissions or UNG committees as directed.
Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Self‑starter, able to work independently from a remote office location while also functioning as part of the larger UNG Recruitment team.
Strong oral and written communication skills and ability to make strong presentations to groups of prospective students and parents.
Able to lift at least 25 pounds, work without supervision, multi‑task, manage workload, and meet deadlines.
Live in middle‑Georgia or south‑Georgia area.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required.
One year of college admissions experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CRM and student information systems, enrollment related recruitment, and management of technology is preferred.
Proficiency with the SCT Banner student information system and Microsoft Office Suite is desired.
