Program Support Specialist
for the Department of Family Medicine and Community Health at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Under the supervision of the discipline‑specific Clerkship Director, the specialist will assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of educational programs. The role provides administrative and program support to the Undergraduate Medical Education Office and reports to the Department Administrator and Clerkship Director. Responsibilities include support for all departmental activities: clerkships, electives, sub‑internships, boot camps, summative clinical skills assessment, and department‑specific activities in Introduction to the Clerkship Experience.
Responsibilities
Provide administrative support to all undergraduate clinical medical education activities.
Liaison to students, faculty, residents, community faculty, affiliated sites and school administration for any issues or questions related to the Clerkship, Electives, Sub‑internships, Boot Camp and other departmental undergraduate medical student activities.
Support the Primary and Ambulatory Care Continuity Experience (PACCE).
Organize medical student attendance at interdisciplinary conferences and lectures.
Act as liaison between students and community preceptors.
Maintain and update web‑based course platform (AMP) including syllabi, related course materials and creation of course evaluations in AMP or other platforms. Serve as first support contact for students with issues/problems related to web‑based platforms.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree
in Business Administration, Social Science or a related field plus two (2) years of progressively more responsible administrative experience required.
Equivalent experience, education and/or training may be substituted for the education requirements.
Knowledge of excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel/Access required.
Ability to coordinate new technology initiatives such as the Audience Response System.
Facility with the Academic Management Platform and Clinical Activity Tracking System.
Ability to embrace changes and new ideas, identify potential weaknesses of the new educational intervention and assure that the educational objectives are met.
Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and start new rotation tasks while finishing previous rotation duties.
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with clinical medicine/ terminology preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Physical Demands: Standing, sitting, walking, talking and hearing. No special vision requirements. Lifting up to 25 lbs.
Work Environment: Office and Clinic settings. Moderate noise.

Salary and Compensation Minimum: $61,512; Mid‑range: $73,603; Maximum: $87,239.
