This position is with Highbury Defense Group, an Accelint company. Accelint is dedicated to delivering mission-critical technology and defense solutions that accelerate innovation, readiness, and national security outcomes.
We provide technical, cybersecurity, logistics, and program management support to US Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of State (DoS) agencies and select foreign governments and militaries.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and mission-driven Program Support Specialist to join our team at the NAVWAR Front Office. This position is ideal for former U.S. Navy Flag Writers and Yeomen with a strong background in correspondence, protocol, and front office operations at the Flag level. The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing Navy correspondence and other support functions to ensure timely and professional communication at the highest levels.
• Provide day-to-day program and executive level support to DoD program offices and staff. • Prepare, edit, and finalize official Navy correspondence in compliance with the Navy Correspondence Manual for Flag-level review and approval. • Route and coordinate program documentation, policies, instructions, and position papers across stakeholders to gather comments, updates, and changes. • Format and manage Navy memorandums, letters, and other official documents with accuracy and attention to detail. • Provide day-to-day program support to the NAVWAR Front Office, including protocol, calendar management, coordination, and scheduling support as needed. • Serve as a liaison between Flag-level staff and internal/external stakeholders to ensure smooth communication flow. • Assist with special projects as directed by Government leadership, applying judgment, discretion, and a deep understanding of Navy processes. • Track and manage program deliverables, budgets, and timelines using project management tools. • Support the development and maintenance of program plans, risk assessments, and performance metrics. • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including contractors, government officials, and military personnel. • Ensure adherence to DoD acquisition and program management processes and regulations.
Requirements:
Required Qualifications:
• Active security clearance. • 5+ years of experience in program/project support roles, preferably within a DoD or federal environment. • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams). • Experience with DoD acquisition processes • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-security environment. • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience in lieu of a degree). • Prior experience supporting military, civilian, or contractor personnel within a DoD program office.
Desired Qualifications:
• Former U.S. Navy Flag Writer (2515 NEC) or Yeoman (YN) with direct experience supporting Flag or Senior Executive Service (SES) leadership. • Expertise in Navy correspondence standards, protocols, and administrative procedures. • Familiarity with DON Tracker, Microsoft Office Suite (especially Word, Outlook, and Excel), and DOD-wide collaboration tools. • Strong interpersonal skills with a professional demeanor and experience handling sensitive or classified material.
Clearance Information:
Some positions will require access to U.S. National Security information. Positions that require this access will be required to receive and maintain a U.S. government personnel security clearance (PCL). In order to qualify for this position, the candidate must be a US Citizen and either currently possess this National Security eligibility or be able to complete the investigation application process with a favorable determination and maintain that eligibility throughout their employment.

Salary Range:
$85,000-100,000. The listed pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this position for the location for which it has been posted and is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Other compensation considerations may include, but are not limited to, job responsibilities, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, or other applicable factors.
