Overview We are seeking an experienced

BI Developer

to join our team on a contract‑to‑hire basis. This role will focus heavily on Power BI development, analytics‑driven data modeling, and cross‑functional reporting in support of both strategic and operational initiatives across the organization. The ideal candidate has a strong blend of technical BI expertise and functional finance domain experience, with the ability to transform business needs into high‑quality, actionable reporting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Power BI Report & Dashboard Development

— Develop, enhance, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports for multiple business units.

Translate business requirements into impactful visual analytics and KPIs.

Optimize data models and visuals for performance and usability.

Data Curation & Analytics Data Modeling (Snowflake + SSRS)

— Perform analytics‑focused data modeling within Snowflake to support Power BI and other BI tools.

Create and maintain Snowflake tables, stored procedures, and views.

Curate datasets to enable self‑service analytics and enterprise reporting.

Build and maintain SSRS reports for operational and financial reporting needs.

Note: This role focuses on analytics modeling; no ELT/ETL engineering is required.

Team & Project Support (Strategic + Operational)

Collaborate with BI, Finance, and operational teams to support data‑driven initiatives.

Participate in requirement gathering, troubleshooting, and ad hoc reporting needs.

Provide analytical support to ongoing strategic projects and process improvement work.

Required Skills & Technology Experience

5+ years of experience in Power BI dashboard and report development, including complex DAX and data modeling.

Strong SQL skills with hands‑on experience in both T‑SQL and PL/pgSQL for data querying and analysis.

Experience working with ERP systems for data extraction and reporting (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday, NetSuite, etc.).

Snowflake experience, including analytics‑focused data modeling for BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.), stored procedures, tables, and schema design, views and performance optimization.

Experience building and maintaining SSRS reports.

Strong understanding of Finance (FIN) domain concepts.

Ideal candidate will have a finance or financial analysis background prior to transitioning into BI/Data roles.

Healthcare industry experience is a significant plus but not required.
