is hiring a Principal Systems Administrator – Helpdesk Sys Admin for the Missile Defense Integration division. The role is based at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO and requires on‑site presence with no relocation assistance. Top Secret clearance and a DoD 8140 IAT Level II or higher certification are mandatory.

Position Overview

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program supports missile defense operations at all levels. This position provides help‑desk support to C2BMC Global customers, troubleshooting technical issues across Linux and Windows platforms.

Essential Functions

Configure and manage Linux and Windows operating systems.

Implement operating system improvements to enhance reliability and performance.

Install software and enforce security policies through Windows Group Policy and automation tools such as Ansible and PowerShell.

Manage and support virtual machines within a complex, hyperconverged infrastructure.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field with 5 years of experience; or Master’s with 3 years; or 9 years experience as alternative.

Active DoD 8140 IAT Level II or higher certification at time of application, maintained throughout contract.

Active Top Secret security clearance at time of application, eligible for SCI.

Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Experience with Windows Server and Linux system administration.

Proficiency in troubleshooting via phone, chat, and collaborative methods.

Familiarity with scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Python) or automation tools such as Ansible.

Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Hands‑on experience with help‑desk ticketing systems such as ServiceNow, Remedy, or Atlassian JIRA.

Ability to develop and follow documentation, including SOPs, using tools like Atlassian Confluence.

Experience supporting users in an enterprise system and delivering solutions.

Experience designing, developing, and maintaining Ansible playbooks, roles, and modules.

Prior experience with a hyperconverged on‑premises cloud platform such as Nutanix or VMware.

Salary & Other Compensation

Primary Level Salary Range: $94,200.00 - $141,200.00. Additional overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, and potential long‑term incentives for VP or Director positions may apply.
