Lead Java Engineer (Remote, US or South America Based)
Location: Austin, TX
Duration:
8+ Months Contract with possibility to extension
Salary: $105,000.00-$215,000.00
Candidate Skills and Qualifications
8+ years of experience in Java EE, Spring Boot, and microservices frameworks
8+ years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Google) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
8+ years of experience in API design and integration (REST, GraphQL)
8+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible)
8+ years of knowledge of security best practices for cloud-native applications
8+ years of familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)
8+ years of experience with event-driven architectures and messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
8+ years of exposure to serverless computing and cloud-native services
8+ years of experience with Domain-Driven Design (DDD) for modeling complex business domains
Preferred: Knowledge of observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack)
Preferred: Familiarity with performance tuning and high-availability strategies
Preferred: Understanding of cost optimization in cloud environments
Preferred: Healthcare industry experience
Preferred: Fundamental understanding of Information Management principles, IT processes, SDLC, architecture and technologies adopted by an organization
Preferred: Consulting and Facilitation Skills
Preferred: Customer-focused ability to communicate across all levels of the organization
