About the Role
Schneider Electric is seeking a highly skilled Demand Planner to manage planning and scheduling for two manufacturing facilities. This role is critical in driving accurate demand forecasts, leading the SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) process, and creating optimized production schedules to ensure on‑time delivery and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts considering booked and high‑probability sales orders.
Lead monthly SIOP cycles, aligning demand, supply, and inventory strategies across both plants.
Translate demand plans into supply requirements and detailed production schedules.
Plan workorders and enter demand forecast in Oracle.
Optimize plant scheduling to minimize changeovers and maximize throughput.
Monitor schedule adherence and adjust plans to address exceptions.
Communicate schedule risk to all stakeholders, both external and internal.
Maintain inventory targets and support inventory accuracy initiatives by collaborating with the Upstream Planning leader.
Analyze data and provide actionable insights to improve forecast accuracy and schedule performance.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with Sales, Operations, Procurement, and Logistics.
Drive continuous improvement in planning and scheduling processes.
Lead recovery when demand exceeds capacity.
Propose demand‑shaping options to maintain revenue projections.
Define allocation rules with Sales & Marketing and ensure execution.
Identify significant business risks and propose mitigation plans to leadership teams.
Follow SIOP planning processes and ensure all plants adopt and implement standard business planning practices.
Reporting You will report to the Up & Downstream – EMS Planning Leader. This role is an onsite position. You are required to report to either the Fairfield or West Chester, OH facility five days a week.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree required, preferably in Engineering, Supply Chain, Statistics, Economics, Operations, or Business.
5+ years of supply planning, demand planning, or vendor forecasting experience.
Experience with Kinaxis, SAP, Oracle, or other planning software packages.
High proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Competencies
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Proven ability to work in a team environment and interact regularly with senior management regarding goals and accomplishments.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities.
Energetic, flexible, collaborative, and proactive team leader who welcomes challenges.
