We are seeking an experienced

Safety Leader

to join our team. This role promotes a culture of safety on construction sites and in our fabrication shops. The ideal candidate will develop, implement, and oversee health and safety programs to prevent accidents and injuries, ensuring a safe working environment.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and training programs in compliance with OSHA, local, state, and federal regulations.

Conduct regular site inspections in the field and shops and conduct audits to identify potential hazards and ensure safety compliance.

Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, preparing detailed reports and recommending corrective actions.

Provide safety training and education to employees, contractors, and site personnel.

Enforce safety standards and regulations, issuing recommendations or corrective actions.

Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate safety into all phases of construction projects.

Maintain accurate safety records, including compliance documentation, incident reports, and training logs.

Serve as a point of contact for regulatory agencies and ensure proper reporting of safety concerns.

Conduct risk assessments and prepare Job Safety Analysis (JSA's).

Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and provide ongoing safety guidance to teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.

2+ years of experience in a safety, EHS, or risk management role.

Ability to travel to construction sites within the region up to 75% of the time.

Relevant professional certifications preferred, such as ASP, CSP, or CHST, or ability to obtain certification within the first 12 months of employment.

Construction safety and industry experience preferred.
