Marketing Director – Lactalis American Group

Overview Join Lactalis American Group, a family‑owned leader in dairy, to shape the future of our Président brand and imported portfolio. This full‑time role focuses on accelerating growth across key categories, driving brand business, and expanding dairy usage occasions.
Job Summary As Marketing Director, you will lead the Président brand and Imported Portfolio. You will develop and execute strategies to grow market share, profitability, and brand awareness across U.S. channels.
Key Responsibilities
Implement the Président marketing strategy, ensuring relevance and differentiation in the U.S. market.
Lead plans to drive market share gain and category expansion.
Develop a multi‑year growth roadmap for imported cheeses.
Oversee annual marketing plans, including media strategy, A&P allocation, and omnichannel campaigns.
Manage creative agencies to deliver impactful advertising, packaging, and in‑store communication aligned with brand positioning.
Ensure pricing, promotions, and distribution strategies maximize market share and profitability.
Utilize syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen) and internal systems to monitor performance and identify growth opportunities.
Conduct consumer research to guide product development and communication strategies.
Own P&L responsibility for the portfolio, ensuring financial targets are met and gap‑closing plans are implemented proactively.
Collaborate with Sales, Category Management, R&D, and Industrial teams to ensure flawless execution of marketing initiatives.
Provide strategic input to Sales for forecasting, budgeting, and retailer‑specific programs.
Build and mentor a high‑performing marketing team, fostering creativity, accountability, and collaboration.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required; MBA strongly preferred.
Major in Business, Engineering, Marketing favored.
15+ years of progressive marketing experience, including brand management and portfolio leadership.
Proven track record in brand relaunch or transformation.
Experience in the food/dairy industry and imported products preferred.
Expertise in brand strategy, innovation, and omnichannel marketing.
Strong financial acumen with P&L management experience.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and project management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with syndicated data tools (IRI, Nielsen).
