Process Improvement Engineer
Are you passionate about improving manufacturing processes and driving continuous improvement? We are seeking a Process Improvement Engineer to optimize our operations, develop automation and tooling, and enhance quality, efficiency, and throughput on the shop floor.
What You’ll Do You will lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce inefficiencies, eliminate safety risks, and increase productivity.
You will develop automated processes, equipment, and PLC controls to improve quality and throughput.
You will design and improve tools, fixtures, and process aids, and create 2D and 3D drawings, SOPs, manuals, and maintenance schedules for production and maintenance teams.
You will assist with equipment installation, start‑up, and qualification, and support FMEAs, PPAPs, and other quality documentation.
Collaboration is a key part of this role—you will work closely with engineering, production, and quality teams to implement improvements, share best practices, and promote a safe, efficient, and high‑performing work environment. Some travel may be required.
What We’re Looking For Experience & Skills
Minimum of 2 years of experience driving and leading process improvement initiatives.
Minimum of 2 years of experience with automation PLCs (Allen Bradley or Siemens preferred).
Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to read and interpret drawings, technical documents, catalogs, and data sheets
Experience writing reports, documentation, and communicating with internal teams, vendors, and customers
Familiarity with Lean manufacturing principles and process improvement
Strong project and task management skills—planning, prioritizing, organizing, and decision-making
Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), and the ability to learn ERP systems
A proactive, improvement‑mindset and ability to influence teams
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Automation Engineering.
