Senior SAP Developer
PlanIT Group, LLC – 100% remote. Applicants can work remotely from anywhere. Position located in Raleigh, NC.
Description Under general direction, instructs, directs, and checks the work of other project engineers. Responsible for developing strategies for technical IT infrastructures and completing assigned engineering projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines. Leads a group of engineers, analysts, and/or technicians for the duration of a project or may function as an ongoing lead within a group of engineers associated with one or more technical areas within the telecom function (e.g., network design, engineering, implementation, or operations/user support). Does not have formal supervisory responsibilities, although may provide input to performance appraisals.
Key Responsibilities
Perform functional analysis, requirements definition, and SAP module configuration and testing.
Develop functional requirements specifications, data mappings, function mappings, and set configuration tables and transaction/control tables.
Coordinate projects across different organizations.
Analyze business processes and flows to enable the development of solutions for business functions.
Technical Knowledge
Strong knowledge in SAP HCM HR modules, including OM/PA, eCareer, and EHS.
Experience with HR Development, RICEF, InfoType, Logical Databases, and OM/PA.
Proficiency in ABAP, HR Process and Forms, and SAP Fiori.
Knowledge of SAP PO, S/4 HANA, HR Security, and Fiori Architecture.
Design architecture experience – LaunchPad Design, design control-based solutions.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes and management tools such as VersionOne.
Experience with an IT Service Management System (preferably ServiceNow).
Additional Skills and Experience
Minimum 10 years of experience in software development, database administration, or a related field.
Preferred degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline.
Ability to perform all functional duties independently on high-visibility or mission-critical programs.
Experience overseeing the efforts of direct reporting resources or being responsible for all staff assigned to a specific job.
Experience training/mentoring less experienced personnel.
Extensive knowledge of relational DBMSs, including Oracle and SQL Server.
Knowledge of DBMS Job Control Language (JCL), access methods, performance tuning, device allocation, validation checks, organization, security, documentation, and statistical methods.
Ability to recommend the most appropriate DBMS product after evaluating system requirements.
Experience producing database-related documentation such as administration policies, procedures, standards, and guidelines.
Excellent communication skills.
