Key Responsibilities ServiceNow Architecture & Platform Leadership
Lead end-to-end architecture, design, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions across modules such as ITSM, HRSD, ITOM, SPM, CMDB, CSM, and custom applications.
Define and enforce ServiceNow architectural standards, guardrails, coding conventions, and integration patterns.
Drive platform governance, versioning strategy, instance health management, and performance optimization.
Evaluate enhancement requests, solution designs, and large-scale customizations to ensure platform scalability and maintainability.
Guide system integrations using MID Server, Integration Hub, REST/SOAP APIs, event-driven patterns, and external systems.
Conduct architectural reviews and provide expert guidance on workflows, data modelling, ACL/security architecture, and automation strategies.
Software Development & Leadership
Lead the design and development of scalable applications, enterprise integrations, and ServiceNow solutions.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define technical requirements and architectural decisions.
Guide and mentor development teams, fostering best practices in clean code, design patterns, and secure coding.
Perform code reviews and provide constructive, actionable feedback to ensure quality and consistency.
Ensure performance, security, and compliance standards are met across the entire development lifecycle.
DevOps & Automation
Drive DevOps practices such as CI/CD, automated testing, release automation, and deployment pipelines for both ServiceNow and custom-built applications.
Oversee containerization and infrastructure-as-code adoption using tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform where applicable.
Manage version control, branching strategies, and environment promotion processes.
Lead and contribute to AI/ML initiatives, including integrating AI services into existing platforms.
Architect and implement AI-driven workflows, chatbots, predictive intelligence, and intelligent automation solutions within ServiceNow.
Identify opportunities to leverage ServiceNow Predictive Intelligence, NLP, and external AI platforms (OpenAI, Azure Cognitive Services, etc.).
Stay updated with emerging technologies and platform releases to inform future development.
Recommend modernization strategies including microservices architecture, event-driven patterns, domain-driven design, and micro-frontend architecture.
Partner with enterprise architects, product owners, and business leaders to shape long-term technology roadmaps.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
8+ years of experience in software development, with 2+ years in a lead or senior role.
Proven hands‑on experience with ServiceNow development and architecture, including Workflows, Catalogs, Integration Hub, CMDB, Scoped Apps, Flow Designer, and API integration.
Demonstrated experience designing scalable enterprise architectures, platform governance models, and complex integration patterns.
Solid understanding of DevOps principles, including CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), automated testing, containerization (Docker), and Infrastructure as Code.
Experience with architectural patterns: domain‑driven design, microservices, event‑driven architecture, micro‑frontends.
Familiarity with AI/ML tools and frameworks (TensorFlow, OpenAI APIs, Azure Cognitive Services, etc.).
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across cross‑functional teams.
Strong problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities in complex enterprise environments.
Preferred Qualifications
ServiceNow certifications such as CSA, CAD, CIS‑ITSM, CIS‑HRSD, CIS‑ITOM, Integration Hub, or Architect‑level certs.
Experience building enterprise‑grade applications using React, Node.js, or similar modern frameworks.
Background implementing AI‑driven workflows, virtual agents, or intelligent automation within ServiceNow or similar platforms.
Experience working within Agile/Scrum methodologies.
Experience leading enterprise‑wide platform modernization initiatives.
