Schedule: PRN, Variable shifts
Facility: Resurrection Medical Center
Location: 7435 W Talcott Ave, Chicago, IL 60631
Responsibilities The Staff RN reports directly to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services, and indirectly to the House Supervisor. The RN is responsible for delivering direct and indirect patient care in the peri‑operative setting, following the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for patients ranging from neonates to older adults. The RN coordinates care with the surgeon and anesthesiologist, directs and guides the OR Technician and other personnel, and maintains professional nursing standards. The RN works with other departments to provide continuous, quality patient care, efficient patient flow, unit maintenance, and organization. The RN adheres to regulations, standards, and hospital/unit policies. The RN participates in performance improvement activities, unit meetings, in‑services, and acts as a resource for other personnel as appropriate.
Qualifications Education, Experience, Training
Current and valid state RN License.
Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire, and keep current.
Current ACLS (AHA) certificate within 30 days upon hire and keep current.
Current PALS (AHA) certificate within 30 days upon hire and keep current.
Minimum of one year previous peri‑operative experience or on‑the‑job training.
Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Pay Transparency Competitive compensation; the rough estimate for this role is $43.00 per hour. The exact starting compensation will be determined at the time of selection, considering factors such as skillset, experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
